James Black is vice-president of Canadian equities with Beutel Goodman Investment Counsel. As a large-cap portfolio manager and the company’s director of equities research, his responsibilities include covering Canadian companies in the telecom, utilities, and financial sectors. He has over 25 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Beutel Goodman in 2007, Black worked in private equity at Brookfield Asset Management. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and is a CPA, CA and CFA charterholder.
