Purdie &#8212; who&#8217;s coming from Toronto-based Aviva Investors (a subsidiary of Aviva plc) where he&#8217;s currently CIO, liquid markets &#8212; will succeed <strong>Christopher P. Conkey <\/strong>who&#8217;s retiring at the end of 2024 after 13 years with Manulife and 40 years in the industry. Between December 2023 and his retirement date, Conkey will be a special advisor to CEO <strong>Paul Lorentz<\/strong>, focusing on Purdie&#8217;s transition as well as special projects, a release said.<\/li>\n<li>The Ontario Teachers&#8217; Pension Plan appointed <strong>Bruce Crane<\/strong> as executive managing director and head of the Asia-Pacific region. Crane, who joined the pension fund in 2020 as its first employee in Singapore, replaces <strong>Ben Chan<\/strong> who retired earlier this month.
