The board, which comprises nine professionals from firms across Canada, has three new members: <strong>Elisabeth Chamberland<\/strong> from Peak Investment Services Inc.; <strong>Nelson Cheng<\/strong> from Sterling Mutuals Inc.; and <strong>John Webster<\/strong> from Toronto-based Queensbury Strategies Inc. The outgoing members are: <strong>Michael Kazmierowski <\/strong>from B2B Bank Dealer Services; <strong>Sandra Kegie<\/strong> from Etobicoke, Ont.\u2013based Kegie Consulting Corp.; and <strong>Susan Monk <\/strong>from Peak Financial.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Marlene Puffer<\/strong> will be chief investment officer with Alberta Investment Management Corp. (AIMCo) effective Jan. 30. Puffer was most recently president and CEO with Montreal, Que.\u2013based CN Investment Division, which manages the pension fund of Canadian National Railway. She also is a past president of Women in Capital Markets, and has been in the industry for more than 25 years.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sharon Giffen<\/strong> and <strong>Duane Green <\/strong>will be directors to the board of Waterloo, Ont.\u2013based insurance provider Serenia Life Financial (formerly FaithLife Financial), effective in February. Giffen has been involved in the financial services industry since the 1980s, with senior leadership roles for more than 20 years, a release said, while Green is currently president and CEO of Franklin Templeton Canada and Fiduciary Trust Canada.<\/li>\n<li>Two executives recently moved to Wellington-Altus Private Wealth Inc.: <strong>Jennifer Hiemstra<\/strong>, coming from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) where she was most recently a wealth strategist for the high-net-worth market; and <strong>Margarita Vasquez<\/strong>, coming from Raymond James Ltd. where she was most recently vice-president of retirement and financial planning. An emailed statement from the firm said both women are part of the advanced wealth planning group, which supports advisors in financial, tax and estate planning, among other areas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Romeo Leemrijse<\/strong> has been appointed to the Ontario Teachers&#8217; Pension Plan Board as executive managing director, equities, effective Jan. 1.
