Russell: ICSA’s new head

Ian Russell, president and CEO of the Toronto-based Investment Industry Association of Canada, is the newly elected chairman of the International Council of Securities Associations (ICSA). He is the first Canadian in 20 years to hold this role for the New York-based organization. This follows his 2012 appointment as chairman of the ICSA’s standing committee on regulatory affairs. The ICSA is composed of self-regulatory and trade associations from the world’s largest financial markets. The association works to respond to initiatives from multinational regulatory bodies.
