Brian Bridger, director, analytics and data, with Toronto-based Fundata Canada Inc., has been elected the new chairman of the Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee (CIFSC), effective Jan 1. Reid Baker, manager, analytics and data, with Fundata Canada, will be the CIFSC’s vice chairman. The CIFSC is a volunteer organization that oversees the classification standards for the investment fund sector. Members of CIFSC include: Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc., Fundata Canada, Morningstar Canada, the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, FP Datagroup, Cannex Financial Exchanges, Thomson Reuters/Lipper and individual consultants.
