Canadian Western Bank has appointed Chris Fowler its president, adding to his current role of chief operating officer, and announced that he will replace Larry Pollock as CEO of the Edmonton-based bank next year. Fowler, 52, has been with Canadian Western Bank since 1991, serving in increasingly senior positions. In his role as COO, Fowler is responsible for banking operations and credit risk management. Pollock, 65, has been CEO of Canadian Western Bank since 1990. He will step down at the firm’s annual general meeting on March 7, 2013.
