Colleen Johnston, chief financial officer at Toronto-Dominion Bank, has received Canada’s CFO of the Year award for 2012. The award was presented by: Toronto-based FEI Canada, the Canadian division of Morristown, N.J.-based Financial Executives International; Toronto-based PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Canada; and California-based Robert Half International Inc. The award is given to a financial executive who exhibits exceptional quality, insight and direction when managing the finances of his or her firm. After being appointed CFO at TD in November 2005, Johnston was responsible for restructuring TD’s entire finance department to be more in line with TD’s top business priorities, especially its expansion into the U.S.
