Chi-X Canada ATS Ltd., a Toronto-based alternative trading system (ATS), will launch its CX2 Canada ATS (CX2) platform on May 3. The new ATS, the second offered by Chi-X for the Canadian market, will handle all securities listed on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange. However, only certain securities will be available for trading initially because CX2 will be phasing in its offerings. As a fully transparent marketplace, CX2 will provide pre-trade market transparency of orders and post-trade transparency of executions. Only members of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada are eligible to subscribe to the CX2.
