Toronto-based Vanguard Investments Canada Inc. plans to broaden its family of low-cost exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to 11 with the addition of five new ETFs. The firm has filed a preliminary prospectus with Canadian securities regulators for four new equity ETFs and one new bond ETF. The new funds will include Vanguard FTSE Canadian High Dividend Yield Index ETF, Vanguard FTSE Canadian Capped REIT Index ETF, Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF, Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF (CAD-hedged) and Vanguard Canadian Short-Term Corporate Bond Index ETF. Vanguard Investments Canada’s initial lineup consists of six ETFs, which collectively hold more than $300 million in total assets under management.
