Toronto-based Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. has launched its first suite of passive ETFs in Canada. Franklin Liberty Shares passive ETFs are market cap-weighted and benchmarked to country and regional indices provided by London, U.K.-based index provider FTSE Russell. Franklin FTSE Canada All Cap Index ETF invests primarily in equities issued by Canadian issuers and seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE Canada’s all-cap domestic index. Franklin FTSE U.S. Index ETF invests primarily in equities issued by mid- and large-cap U.S. issuers and seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE USA index. Franklin FTSE Japan Index ETF invests, directly or indirectly, primarily in equities issued by mid- and large-cap Japanese issuers and seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE Japan index. Franklin FTSE Europe ex U.K. Index ETF invests primarily in equities issued by mid- and large-cap issuers in developed European markets, excluding the U.K., and seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE Developed Europe ex U.K. index. Management fees are 0.05%-0.09%.
