Toronto-based AIM Funds Management Inc. has appointed Alfred Samson to its fixed-income portfolio-management team. Samson has 14 years’ experience managing fixed-income securities; his most recent position was at a major Canadian insurance company, at which he managed more than $4 billion in bonds. Samson joins AIM Trimark managers Rex Chong, Anthony Imbesi and analyst Gary Lew, all based in Toronto. Samson replaces Vince Hunt, who left the firm several months ago.
