Toronto-based Fidelity Investments Canada ULC has launched a new mutual fund for Canadian investors seeking U.S. investment exposure. Fidelity U.S. All-Cap Fund targets investment opportunities across all market-capitalization ranges and investment styles to find the best opportunities for investors. The fund will be managed by John Roth, U.S. equities portfolio manager at Fidelity. Roth employs a bottom-up, fundamental approach to stock selection. The fund also is available in a corporate-class version. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% for front-end sales, 4.9% for deferred sales charges (DSC), 1% for the low-load option and 2.5% for the low-load 2 option. Redemption fees begin at 6% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 6 for the regular DSC schedule; begin at 2% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 of the low-load schedule; or begin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 4 for the low-load 2 schedule. Trailing commissions are 1% for front-end and low-load sales, and 0.5% for deferred and low-load 2 sales. Management fees are 2% for A-class units and 0.85% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $500. The firm also has renamed Fidelity Growth America Fund as Fidelity U.S. Focused Stock Fund to reflect the changes in the fund’s portfolio manager and investment strategies.
