Toronto-based BMO Asset Management Inc. has added two ETFs to its product shelf. BMO Low Volatility International Equity Hedged to CAD ETF invests in international equities with an eye toward downside protection. To reduce the volatility of this ETF’s holdings, there is a heavier weighting of securities with a low sensitivity to market movement. BMO Low Volatility U.S. Equity Hedged to CAD ETF follows the same low-volatility investment strategy, but invests in large-cap U.S. equities. Unhedged versions of both ETFs still are available to investors. Management fees for the international ETF and the U.S. equity ETF are 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively, for common units.
