Toronto based Manulife Investments has added three mutual funds to its global fund lineup: Manulife Global Dividend Fund, Manulife Global Dividend Class and Manulife Global Strategic Balanced Yield Fund. Manulife Global Dividend Fund and Manulife Global Dividend Class invest primarily in diversified portfolios of high-quality, dividend-paying global equities and aim to provide a yield premium over the MSCI world index by focusing on companies that compound cash flows and grow their earnings, resulting in dividend growth. Both funds will be co-managed by Paul Boyne and Doug McGraw, portfolio managers with Toronto-based Manulife Asset Management Ltd. Manulife Global Strategic Balanced Yield Fund invests in high-quality, undervalued global dividend stocks, as well as in a diversified portfolio of global fixed-income securities. Boyne and McGraw will co-manage the equities portion of this fund; John Addeo, Dennis McCafferty, Endre Pedersen and Daniel Janis (all portfolio managers with Manulife) will co-manage the fixed-income portion of this fund. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% for front-end sales, 5% for deferred sales and 2% for the low-load option. Redemption fees begin at 6% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 6 for the regular DSC schedule; or begin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 for the low-load schedule. Trailing commissions are 1% for front-end and low-load sales; or 0.5% for the first six years of deferred sales, and 1% thereafter. Management fees for Manulife Global Dividend Fund and Manulife Global Dividend Class are 2.05% for A-class units and 1% for F-class units; and 1.95% for A-class units and 0.95% for F-class units for Manulife Global Strategic Balanced Yield Fund. Minimum investment is $500.
