Manulife creates new team

Toronto-based Manulife Asset Management Ltd. has hired Kathryn Langridge and Philip Ehrmann as senior managing directors and senior portfolio managers for the firm’s new global emerging-markets equities team. Based in London, U.K., Langridge (also head of global emerging-markets equities) and Ehrmann will manage a global emerging-markets equities strategy for institutional clients and certain Manulife wealth-management businesses and Manulife’s U.S. subsidiary, John Hancock Funds LLC. The team also will support other global equities strategies investing in emerging-market equities. Langridge and Ehrmann join the firm from Jupiter Fund Management PLC in London.
