Lyon rejoins CI Investments

Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. has appointed Robert Lyon to the Signature Global Asset Management team. Lyon, who specializes in the natural resources and energy sectors, will assume the title of senior vice president, portfolio management, and be responsible for Signature’s resources-focused funds, as well as for the domestic and foreign natural resources equities holdings of other Signature funds, effective on or before Jan. 1, 2015. Lyon will be lead portfolio manager of Signature Global Resource Fund, Signature Global Resource Corporate Class, Signature Global Energy Corporate Class and Signature Gold Corporate Class. This appointment marks Lyon’s return to CI and Signature, as he was a key member of Signature from 1999 to 2006, during which time he was portfolio manager of Signature Global Resource and Signature Global Energy funds. Prior to rejoining CI, Lyon was lead manager of the natural resources portfolios at Philippines-based BPI Mutual Funds.
