Toronto-based Invesco Canada Ltd. has launched two income-focused ETFs: PowerShares 1- to 10-Year Laddered Investment Grade Corporate Bond Index ETF; and PowerShares REIT Income Index ETF. The corporate bond ETF manages risk by spreading out bond maturities. Furthermore, this ETF’s short-term bond holdings reduce interest rate sensitivity and its medium-term holdings provide higher yield. This ETF is designed to replicate the performance of the FTSE TMX Canada investment grade one- to 10-year laddered corporate bond index. Investors in PowerShares REIT Income Index ETF gain exposure to a cross-section of Canadian retail, residential, office and industrial real estate investment trusts (REITs). The ETF is designed to follow the S&P/TSX capped REIT income index. For full details about these ETFs, including fees, visit www.invesco.ca/ivz/powershares.
