Toronto-based Fidelity Investments Canada ULC has launched Fidelity Insights Class Fund, which seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investments in global equities across the market capitalization spectrum with an emphasis on U.S. equities. The fund’s portfolio manager, Will Danoff, will use a bottom-up fundamental analysis to select securities and will also work with Fidelity’s global research team. Advisor commissions for the mutual fund’s deferred sales are 4.9%, 1% for the low-load option, or 2.5% for the low-load 2 option. Redemption fees begin at 6% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 6 for the regular DSC schedule; begin at 2% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 2 of the low-load schedule; or begin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 of the low-load 2 schedule. Trailing commissions are 0.5% for deferred sales, 1% for low-load sales and 0.5% for low-load 2 sales. Management fees are 2% for A-class units and 0.85% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $500.
