Dynamic Funds, managed by Toronto-based GCIC Ltd., has added a new fund to its family: Dynamic U.S. Value Balanced Fund. Cecilia Mo, vice president and portfolio manager at Dynamic, will be responsible for managing the fund’s equity component, while Marc-André Gaudreau, vice president and portfolio manager at Dynamic, will manage the fixed-income allocation. The fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and income by investing primarily in a broad range of U.S. equity and debt securities, focusing on a value investment approach when selecting equities. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% for front end sales, 5% for deferred sales or 2% for the low-load option. Redemption fees begin at 6% in Year 1 and end at zero in Year 6 for the regular DSC schedule; or begin at 3% for the first 18 months and end at zero after Year 3 of the low-load schedule. Trailing commissions are 1% for front-end sales; 0.5% for deferred sales; and 0.5% for the first two years of low-load sales, and 1% thereafter. Management fees are 1.9% for A-class units and 0.9% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $500. In another move, Dynamic has reduced the management fees on Dynamic Blue Chip U.S. Balanced Class Fund to 1.9% from 2% on A-class units, and to 0.9% from 1% on F-class units.
