Toronto-based BMO Investments Inc. has launched two mutual funds focused on international markets. BMO International Equity Fund is meant to provide unitholders with long-term capital growth through investments in equities markets outside Canada and the U.S., as well as in companies that benefit from international exposure. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% for front-end sales or 2% for low-load sales. Redemption fees begin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 for the low-load sales schedule. Trailing commissions are 0%-1% for both sales options. Management fees are 1.75% for advisor-class units and 0.75% for F-class units. The minimum investment is $500 for advisor-class units. For F-class units, the dealer determines the minimum investment. BMO Japan Fund is meant to provide unitholders with access to Japan’s equities markets and to companies that benefit from exposure to Japan. These markets are expected to benefit from stronger, export-stimulated economic growth, according to BMO. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% for front-end sales or 2% for low-load sales. Redemption fees begin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 for the low-load sales schedule. Trailing commissions are 0%-1% for both sales options. Management fees are 1.6% for advisor-class units and 0.6% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $500 for advisor-class units. For F-class units, the dealer determines the minimum investment.
