Brian Hein, president of Hein Financial Group Inc. in Calgary, believes client relationships are the key to success.

“If you want to get rich, know everything there is about money,” he says. “If you want wealth beyond your wildest dreams, know everything about your clients.”

He believes that in order to provide complete service to clients, you have to find people who complement your skills.

“Surround yourself with great people,” he says, “develop relationships and take the time to really listen to the client.”

Perhaps most important, you have to love your work, Hein says: “We always say, ‘When we stop having fun, we’ll stop doing it‘.”
