Delegates from 28 of the world’s leading stock exchanges will be in Toronto July 1-3 for a meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges’ Working Committee. Next week’s session will focus specifically on corporate governance and the role of exchanges and on the internalization of order flow.

“I’d like to welcome my colleagues from around the world to Toronto to celebrate with us over the Canada Day weekend,” says Barbara Stymiest, CEO of the TSX Group and a member of the board of directors of the Federation. “The TSX is an active participant in these conferences and when our peers gather we get a unique opportunity to compare services and focus on best practices that we may ultimately provide to the participants in our Canadian marketplace.”

The World Federation of Exchanges is a global trade association for the exchange industry. The membership is comprised of 56 regulated exchanges from all regions of the world.

Bloomberg L.P. and Reuters are contributing sponsors to this international event.
