A couple of apps announced on Tuesday by the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange aim to boost investor access to information on listed companies and their financings.
TSX discovery is a stock research tool that allows investors to screen listed companies based on various characteristics, such as by sector, sub-sector, commodity type and location. It also provides links to companies’ social media accounts. The app is available for iOS.
TSX investinit aggregates publicly available information on active financing transactions by companies listed on both the TSX and the TSXV Venture Exchange, including public offerings, private placements, debt transactions and flow-through financings. The app, which is available for both iOS and Android, “was created to increase public awareness of current financings,” the exchanges say in their announcement.
Both apps are also available in desktop versions, which can be found at www.tsxinvestinit.com and www.tsxdiscovery.com.
