The Canadian dollar traded at an average of US75.73¢ compared with an average of US75.36¢ on Wednesday.

The January crude contract was up US$1.20 at US$54.63 per barrel and the December natural gas contract was down US7.2¢ at US$4.45 per mmBTU.

The December gold contract was up US$6.80 at US$1,228.00 an ounce and the December copper contract was up US2.8¢ at US$2.79 a pound.
