TSX Group Inc., today shuffled its executive line up as part of a realignment of TSX Group’s organizational structure.

John Cieslak, currently executive vp, TSX Group and chief information officer, responsible for information and trading technology, will also be responsible for the corporate communications function.

Rik Parkhill, currently senior vp, TSX Markets, the trading operation of Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange, has been appointed president, TSX Markets and executive vp, TSX Group and becomes a member of TSX Group’s senior management team.

Michael Ptasznik, currently CFO of TSX Group, has also been appointed senior vp and assumes additional responsibility for the corporate development function.

The changes are effective immediately:

In addition, TSX Group announced Robert Pattillo, senior vp corporate communications, had earlier decided to leave TSX Group at the end of January 2005.

“I am pleased to announce these appointments, and I look forward to working with my experienced senior management team as we continue to grow our customer focused electronic marketplaces,” said Richard Nesbitt, CEO of TSX Group.

“I would like to acknowledge the significant contributions Mr. Pattillo has made to the success of TSX Group, and thank him for his commitment,” said Nesbitt.
