Standard & Poor’s Canadian Index Operations is making changes to its Canadian indices as a result of it most recent quarterly S&P/TSX Composite Index Review, the organization said Friday.
Thee changes will be effective at the open on Monday, Dec. 21.
Nine names will be added to the S&P/TSX Composite Index, while 1 name will be dropped.
The nine additions are:
1) Brookfield Renewable Power Fund (BRC.UN)
2) Celtic Exploration Ltd. (CLT)
3) Centerra Gold Inc. (CG)
4) Cott Corp. (BCB)
5) Gabriel Resources Ltd. (GBU)
6) Lake Shore Gold Corp. (LSG)
7) Rubicon Minerals Corp. (RMX)
8) SEMAFO Inc. (SMF)
9) Taseko Mines Ltd. (TKO)
Cardiome Pharma Corp. (COM) will be dropped form the S&P/TSX Composite Index.
Changes to the S&P/TSX Composite Index will also affect the S&P/TSX Capped Composite Index. Stocks added to or removed from the S&P/TSX Composite Index will also be added to or removed from the appropriate Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) sector index.
