Market Regulation Services Inc. announced that the Canadian Trading and Quotation System Inc.’s “Pure Trading” facility will launch on October 12.
At its launch, Pure Trading will trade securities that are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and may trade securities listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, RS noted.
It will offer a cross printing facility as the first phase of the launch. The full continuous auction market is scheduled to be implemented in the second phase approximately four to six weeks after the initial launch. The two phase launch will permit dealers with access to CNQ and their service providers time to finalize development and test for connectivity to Pure Trading, it said.
In the near future, RS intends to publish a Market Integrity Notice to provide guidance on the application of the Universal Market Integrity Rules to the trading by participants of securities on Pure Trading.
