The Canadian Trading and Quotation System Inc. announced Monday that its road show for public companies and investment dealers is kicking off this afternoon in Toronto. It will travel to Calgary and Vancouver later this week.
The exchange for emerging companies says the road show is just one of the many activities underway in CNQ’s implementation plans for a summer launch.
CNQ is hosting an Issuer information session today, at the Royal York Hotel, Upper Canada Room, from 14:00 to 16:00 ET.
On Wednesday, April 9, CNQ’s team will be in Calgary at the Calgary Petroleum Club for Issuer (8:00 to 10:00 MT) and Dealer (15:00 to 17:00 MT) events and on Thursday, April 10 in Vancouver at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver for Issuer (9:00 to 11:00 PT) and Dealer (14:00 to 16:00 PT) events.
Additional details can be obtained at www.cnq.ca. RSVP’s are required.
CNQ will provide an automated, well regulated and transparent marketplace for emerging companies that has been structured to enhance liquidity through competitive market making.
“We are building this marketplace after extensive consultation with dealers, issuers and investors. We have eagerly anticipated rolling out our plans to participants during the months leading up to the recent receipt of a recognition order from the OSC,” said Robert Cook, CNQ’s CEO.
CNQ has begun accepting applications for quotation from issuers, which ensures that qualified companies will be ready to trade on opening day. CNQ is also working with Investment Dealer Association members to ensure timely access and services are available for traders and investors.
