Effective July 1, Global Thematic Partners, LLC, a New York based investment management firm, is replacing Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. as a sub-advisor to Marquis Institutional Global Equity Portfolio, Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Ltd. announced Wednesday.

Prior to this change, Deutsche Americas acted as a sub-advisor for a portion of the portfolio, with Oliver Kratz as the person with principal responsibility. Global Thematic has retained Kratz from Deutsche Americas, and Kratz will continue to provide the same investment management services to the portfolio that he provided while with Deutsche Americas.

The Global Thematic investment management team uses top-down research to identify uncorrelated themes, and then uses bottom-up analysis to select companies with the most attractive growth potential. This approach allows the investment team to invest around the world without any set targets for regions, countries or sectors.

This change has been approved by the Oversight Committee that consists of seasoned investment professionals from Goodman and its parent company, DundeeWealth Inc.

The other sub-advisors to the portfolio remain unchanged and there will be no changes to the investment objectives or investment strategy of the portfolio at this time, Goodman says.

Goodman is a wholly owned subsidiary of DundeeWealth Inc. (TSX: DW).
