Russell Investment Group Ltd. has selected MFS Institutional Advisors, Inc. to manage a portion of its equity assets in the Russell Overseas Equity Fund and the Sovereign Overseas Equity Pool.

As part of this change, Pyramis Global Advisors Trust Company is no longer a manager in these funds.

“Russell has identified MFS as a top-ranked growth manager that has the ability to provide the funds with exposure to high-quality, growth investments. The addition of MFS is also expected to provide the funds” respective manager structures with complementary portfolio characteristics and diversification,” siud Timothy Hicks, chief investment officer of Russell Investments Canada.

MFS will manage 26% of the Russell Overseas Equity Fund and 25% of the Sovereign Overseas Equity Pool, specializing in growth investing.
