Toronto-based Questrade Inc. now offers traders contracts for difference (CFD), the online broker announced on Monday.
Edward Kholodenko, president and CEO of Questrade says: “CFDs present our clients with an opportunity to trade in a wide variety of markets and instruments including indices, metals, energy and agriculture. This enables traders to diversify their trading portfolio.”
Questrade cleared to offer CFDs
A CFD is a financial derivative allowing investors to take advantage of price movements, both long and short, on underlying products. Questrade CFDs are leveraged contracts using a small deposit representing a percentage of the contract’s total value.
Questrade provides Canadian investors with direct access trading in the Canadian and U.S. stock and options markets through its IQ trading platforms.
