Manulife Mutual Funds has received unitholder and regulatory approval to merge five Elliott & Page mutual funds with funds that share a similar investment mandate.

Elliott & Page Balanced Fund will be merged into the E&P Manulife Balanced Asset Allocation Portfolio.

Elliott & Page Blue Chip Fund will be into the Elliott & Page Canadian Equity Fund.

Elliott & Page Global Sector Fund will be merged into the MIX Global Sector Class.

Elliott & Page Total Equity Fund will be merged into the MIX SEAMARK Total Global Equity Class.

Elliott & Page International Equity Fund will be merged into the MIX SEAMARK Total Global Equity Class.

The mergers will be completed on or about Friday, May 21.

In addition, unitholders approved a change in investment objectives for the Elliott & Page RSP Total Equity Fund. Going forward, this RSP clone fund will link its performance to the MIX SEAMARK Total Global Equity Class.

These changes were approved by a majority of unitholders at a special meeting held on Friday, May 7.
