Toronto-based Manulife Financial Corp. on Monday announced updates to its Manulife Vitality program.

The Vitality program gives policyholders the opportunity to earn points for healthy behaviours, such as exercising and attending regular health tests. These accumulated points can lead to lower insurance premiums and other rewards.

Members will now receive the vívofit 4, a Garmin wearable fitness-tracking device, instead of the vívofit 3, which the firm has been offering since 2016. Additionally, members can also upgrade to the latest wearable technology from Garmin, including vívoactive 3 and fēnix 5.

Members can receive their free Garmin or Garmin upgrade by visiting the Manulife Vitality member portal.
