Toronto-based Manulife Investments, a division of Manulife Asset Management Ltd., announced that it has updated risk ratings for several of its funds on Tuesday.
The changes come as a response to the Ontario Securities Commission’s amended investment risk classification methodology, which is effective Sept. 1.
“These risk re-classifications are not as a result of changes to the investing strategies and processes employed by the portfolio managers,” the firm says in a statement.
An entire list of the affected funds can be found in the firm’s news release.
