Crocus Investment Fund confirmed yesterday it had received a request from the Office of the Auditor General of Manitoba (OAG) to expand the scope of the OAG’s limited review of the fund.
The labour-sponsored investment fund says it is reviewing the request and will respond to the OAG as soon as possible.
“The fund is already engaged in a full and complete review of its portfolio, operations and governance,” said Alfred Black, Interim CEO of the Crocus Investment Fund. “We have been fully co-operating with the OAG on their review to date.”
In reviewing this request, Crocus says the fund wants to ensure that the proposed expanded scope of work will in no way jeopardize or violate any confidentiality provisions it has with its investee businesses or other stakeholders.
