Paul Musson, senior vice president, Matt Moody, vice president and portfolio manager, and Hussein Sunderji, vice president and portfolio manager, have become the lead portfolio managers of Mackenzie International Growth Fund and Mackenzie International Growth Class, Toronto-based Mackenzie Financial Corp. announced Tuesday.
The change in portfolio management follows the departure of Mark Grammer, senior vice president, which was announced on June 21.
Mackenzie also announced today changes to the investment strategies for these funds.
“The new portfolio management team will follow a blended growth and value investment style, by seeking companies having the greatest prospects for long-term growth. Strong consideration is also placed on assessing the investment’s intrinsic worth relative to its stock price. The review process includes analysis of the company’s competitive position, management strengths, expected profitability and financial position,” Mackenzie says in a statement.
An amendment to the funds’ simplified prospectus and Fund Facts will be filed in the coming days to provide full details of the team’s investment style, Mackenzie adds.
Mackenzie also announced that Musson, Moody and Sunderji have begun managing a portion of Mackenzie Private Canadian Focused Equity Pool and Mackenzie Private Global Equity Pool.
