Manulife Mutual Funds announced today that Tim Keefe, executive vp and chief equity officer for MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC, has left the organization. His departure is effective immediately.
Keefe led MFC Global’s seven-member intrinsic value team, which was responsible for the management of Manulife Global Opportunities Class, Manulife Global Real Estate Fund and Manulife Global Natural Resources Fund.
Manulife Global Opportunities Class, Manulife Global Real Estate Fund and Manulife Global Natural Resources Fund will continue to be managed by the remaining members of MFC Global’s intrinsic value team, using the same investment strategy and processes that are currently being employed.
Management responsibilities for the Manulife Global Opportunities Class will be assumed by Tim Malloy, senior vp for MFC Global. Malloy is a member of the management team that has overseen this fund since its inception. Malloy will be joined by senior vp and portfolio manager, Roger Hamilton.
Manulife Global Real Estate Fund will continue to be managed by Joseph Marguy, portfolio manager for MFC Global. Mr. Marguy is a member of the management team that has overseen this fund since its inception. Marguy will be supported by the members of the intrinsic value team.
Manulife Global Natural Resources Fund will continue to be managed by Amine Benali, portfolio manager for MFC Global. Benali is a member of the management team that has overseen this fund since its inception and will continue to be supported by the members of the intrinsic value team.
