iShares Canada, a division of Toronto-based BlackRock Asset Management Canada Ltd., launched three new unhedged exchange-traded funds on Monday.
The new funds allow investors to gain exposure to U.S., developed international and emerging markets. The funds also have the lowest management expense ratio (MER) in Canada in their respective asset classes, according to iShares, ranging from 0.14% to 0.35%.
The three new funds include:
- iShares S&P500 Index ETF (TSX:XUS) offers investors access to the S&P500 and has an MER of 0.14%.
- iShares MSCI EAFE IMI Index ETF (TSX:XEF) attempts to replicate, before fees and expenses, the performance of the MSCI EAFE Investable Market Index, a market capitalization-weighted index of securities from Europe, Australia and Asia. The fund has an MER of 0.30%.
- iShares MSCI Emerging Markets IMI Index (TSX:XEC) tries to imitate, before fees and expenses, the MSCI Emerging Markets Investable Market Index, which is an equity benchmark for international stock performance. The fund has an MER of 0.35%.
