Winnipeg-based Investors Group Inc. has launched a new balanced fund called IG Mackenzie Sentinel Strategic Income Fund.

Managed by Steve Locke and Norman Raschkowan, both portfolio managers with Toronto-based Mackenzie Financial Corp., the fund will invest mostly in fixed income investments and/or securities that pay equity income.

The new fund will be flexible in its investments and will invest in the fixed income and equity asset classes without geographic restriction.

The fund is currently available for sale across Canada from Investors Group Financial Services Inc. and Investors Group Securities Inc.
