Toronto-based Invesco Canada Ltd. said Friday that Rex Chong, who leads the Trimark fixed income investment team, will be taking a sabbatical of up to six months, beginning July 23.

Portfolio managers Anthony Imbesi, Gary Lew and Alfred Samson will continue managing all Trimark fixed income portfolios. The e team has worked with Chong for over 10 years, practicing the Trimark investment discipline.

At Trimark Investments, we have an award-winning team of experienced fixed income portfolio managers,” said Mr. Chong. “While I’m away, I have every confidence that the team will continue to manage the funds in the best interests of investors.”

Additionally, the team will have the support of Invesco Ltd.’s fixed income organization, which includes 155 investment professionals across the globe and more than US$200 billion in assets under management (as of March 31, 2012).
