Invesco Canada Ltd. Friday announced changes to the auditor of its funds, naming PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to the role, replacing Ernst & Young LLP.
Notification letters will be mailed to exchange-traded fund (ETF) investors in September and mutual fund investors in January. The changes are effective 60 days after mailing.
For mutual funds with a December 31 year end, the change will be effective January 2014. For all other funds, including ETFs, the change will be effective for the current financial year.
The changes were approved by Invesco Canada’s Fund Advisory Board, the boards and voting trusts of the fund corporations and the Independent Review Committee for the funds and ETFs.
Toronto-based Invesco Canada Ltd. operates under three distinct yet complementary product brands: Trimark, Invesco and PowerShares. It is a subsidiary of global investment management firm Invesco Ltd.
