The Integra Short Term Investment Fund will be renamed the Lincluden Short Term Investment Fund, effective today.
Oakville, Ont.-based Integra Capital Ltd. remains as the manager and trustee of the fund.
Oakville-based Lincluden Investment Management Ltd., a 100% employee-owned company with over $3 billion under management, is the sub-advisor for the fund. Lincluden invests in a wider range of short-term securities in addition to Government of Canada treasury bills which has been the norm for the fund in recent years.
The fund’s primary focus is preservation of capital, but the fund is permitted to invest in bankers’ acceptances and corporate paper rated R-1 or better, excluding asset backed commercial paper and structured investment vehicles. Lincluden invests in these permitted investments in addition to treasury bills. These additional investment opportunities offer higher yields than treasury bills, Integra says.
