As a result of the upcoming name change to Tangerine, ING Direct’s Streetwise Portfolios will be called Tangerine Investment Funds.
The five Streetwise Portfolios will be renamed as follows:
> ING Direct Streetwise Balanced Income Portfolio will be called Tangerine Balanced Income Portfolio;
> ING Direct Streetwise Balanced Portfolio will be called Tangerine Balanced Portfolio;
> ING Direct Streetwise Balanced Growth Portfolio will be called Tangerine Balanced Growth Portfolio; and
> ING Direct Streetwise Equity Growth Portfolio will be called Tangerine Equity Growth Portfolio
“Other than the new names, everything Canadians have come to know and love about our investment portfolios will remain the same,” says Rob Landry, president, of Toronto-based Tangerine Investment Management Inc.
“The portfolios will continue to offer great value — with diversified investments and built in rebalancing — via our straight forward, index investing model.”
In November 2012, The Bank of Nova Scotia completed its acquisition of ING Bank of Canada, with one of the terms of the transaction being that ING Direct change its name.
The new name, Tangerine, is intended to reflect the brand’s progressive position in the financial services industry.
