IG Wealth Management has finalized several changes to its fund lineup, including fund mergers and name changes.
The following funds are expected to merge as of June 18:
- IG Irish Life Low Volatility Global Equity Class will merge with the IG Mackenzie Global Fund;
- and the IG Mackenzie Low Volatility Canadian Equity Fund will merge with the IG FI Canadian Equity Fund.
A result of these mergers is the IG Mackenzie Global Fund will have a new class name (IG Mackenzie Global Call IV) and Mackenzie Financial Corp. will act as its new sub-advisor.
The IG FI Canadian Equity Fund will also have a new class name (IG FI Canadian Equity Class II). Fidelity Investments Canada ULC will act as the fund’s new sub-advisor.
The fund company also announced that the IG Aristotle U.S. Small Cap Class will invest into the IG Mackenzie U.S. Opportunities Fund, resulting in the new class name of IG Mackenzie U.S. Opportunities Class II. Mackenzie Financial Corp. will act as the new sub-advisor.
Changes to the IG Aristotle U.S. Small Cap Class are expected to take effect on June 14.
The changes, which affect the funds’ investment objectives, were made to “streamline IG’s mutual fund offering and are part of the firm’s ongoing efforts to enhance investment performance,” the company said in a release.
