Toronto-based IA Clarington Investments Inc. has renamed IA Clarington Global Tactical Income Fund to IA Clarington Global Allocation Fund.

The fund still is subadvised by Boston-based Loomis, Sayles & Co. LP and there is no change to its investment strategy.

“By renaming the fund, we’re formally recognizing its pedigree in a strategy that has helped many U.S. investors achieve their financial goals,” says Eric Frape, senior vice president of products and investments at IA Clarington, in a statement.

The fund provides a flexible strategy, a diversified equities portfolio and a performance-driven fixed income sleeve, as well as research-intensive, bottom-up security selection, the firm says.

“The fund takes all of the very best ideas from across Loomis Sayles and brings them together in one solution,” says David Rolley, portfolio manager and co-team leader of the global fixed-income group and emerging-market debt group at Loomis Sayles, in a statement. “The result is a fund that looks nothing like the benchmark, which is exactly what investors expect from experienced active managers seeking to add value beyond the benchmark.”
