Vancouver-based HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada) Ltd., the manager of the HSBC Mutual Funds (the Funds), announced today that it is lowering the risk ratings of several of HSBC Mutual Funds.
The changes will be reflected in the funds’ simplified prospectus and Fund Facts, which will be filed on or around June 21.
The changes are the result of the new investment risk classification methodology mandated by the Canadian Securities Administrators. There are no changes to the investment objectives or strategies of the funds.
The new risk ratings for the Funds listed below will be as follows:
- HSBC Canadian Bond Fund to “low” from “low to medium”
- HSBC Monthly Income Fund to “low” from “low to medium”
- HSBC Global Corporate Bond Fund to “low” from “low to medium”
- HSBC World Selection Diversified Conservative Fund to “low” from “low to medium”
- HSBC World Selection Diversified Growth Fund to “low to medium” from “medium”
- HSBC Small Cap Growth Fund to “medium” from “medium to high”
