HSBC Investment Funds (Canada) Inc., of Vancouver, reports it will close and wind up HSBC World Bond RSP Fund on March 14, 2008.
HSBC says the decision to close the fund was based on the small fund size and relatively small number of unitholders.
HSBC World Bond RSP Fund had approximately $6.2 million in assets and represented less than 0.108% of all HSBC mutual fund and pooled fund assets in Canada at Oct. 31, 2007.
Unitholders will be notified of their options prior to the closure and will be advised to seek further information from their investment specialist, the fund company says.
HSBC says the closure of the fund will have no impact on the other funds in the HSBC Mutual Fund or HSBC Pooled Fund families.
