HSBC Investment Funds (Canada) Inc., manager of the HSBC Mutual Funds, will terminate and wind up the HSBC Global Technology Fund on July 29 July. Effective Friday, April 18, units of the fund are no longer available for purchase.

HSBC Investment says the decision to close the fund is based on the small fund size and relatively small number of unitholders. The unitholders of the fund will receive a notice setting out their option to redeem their investments or to switch to another HSBC Mutual Fund prior to the date of termination.

The closure does not impact other funds in the HSBC Mutual Fund or HSBC Pooled Fund families.
