HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada) Ltd. has appointed Mawer Investment Management Ltd. as sub-advisor to HSBC Canadian Small Cap Equity Pooled Fund, effective Dec. 1.

Mawer is a Calgary-based investment manager that specializes in small cap equities and has been managing Canadian small cap equity portfolios since 1988.

HSBC Canadian Small Cap Equity Pooled Fund is available to Canadian investors through the Portfolio Advantage and Private Investment Management services offered by HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada).

HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada) is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Bank Canada. Globally, HSBC Global Asset Management, the core investment business of the HSBC Group, has approximately $367 billion under management at Oct. 31.
