Toronto-based Front Street Capital 2004 has made changes to the portfolio management team of one fund and will reinstate the fees of another fund, according to an announcement released Thursday.
Gerard Ferguson, president and CEO of Toronto-based Front Street Capital 2004, is now co-portfolio manager of Front Street Tactical Equity Class.
Ferguson, also a senior portfolio manager at the firm, will now co-manage the fund with Frank Mersch, who is chairman, chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager at Front Street Capital.
“Mr. Ferguson, who currently manages both the Jemekk Total Return Fund and Jemekk Long/Short Fund, will bring his expertise in Canadian security selection and risk management to the Front Street Tactical Equity Class portfolio,” states the firm’s announcement.
The same announcement indicated that Front Street Capital would also cease waiving fees and absorbing expenses for Front Street Global Balanced Income Class as of April 1. The firm had previously been waiving fees and expenses, excluding trailer fees, for the fund.
